A Living Tribute To My Mother

The saying "Anyone can be a Father,
but it takes someone special to be a Dad,

is true, but the same can be said for Mothers.

My Mother was not perfect to everyone I am sure,
but she was definitely the perfect Mother for me.
The best tribute I can give to my Mother
is to be my very best person I can be to the Mother of my children.
My Mother loved my wife "Becky" has her very own daughter,
even though she had five of her very own.
It is said "that a man will marry a woman like his Mother",
and I believe that to be very true because you see,
the woman I married is as much a Mother to my children,
as my Mother was to me.

I Love You Mom.
I am sure heaven is beautiful
  and you deserve it.

To my lovely wife to whom I call "Sweetheart".
I love you more and more each day!

A Living Tribute To My Little Brother
Recently while visiting the grave of my little brother Clarence with my children and my wife at the Arlington National Cemetary, the setting while being a cemetary was still stunningly beautiful. From his gravesite shaded by a century old oak tree you can see the US Capital dome. In every direction, matching stones marking those who died defending our country, or like my brother who died and was buried there while my Dad served his country. While standing at his grave, thoughts came to me of what my little brother would have become if only he would have lived long enough to be as old as I. I first felt sorry for him because of all the things he missed that I have so enjoyed.  A beautiful wife, little children running the halls exited about Daddy coming home will never be enjoyed by my little brother. And then in some strange way I felt a little jealous. Not because I am unthankful for all that God has blessed me with, but the simple fact that while my brother may not have lived a long life to do great things, yet he is buried among the greatest heroes of our land. As we walked the cemetary that day we seen much larger grave monuments. These where in memory of Presidents, Generals, & Captains. We then visited the Tomb Of The Unkown Soldier. Every 45 minutes, a new guard takes over so that never a moment goes by that these men, unkown as they may be, will never be alone. As I stood there, I realized that my little brother is also not alone. He no doubt is enjoying the Mother we both shared. While I enjoyed my Mother for 37 years, my little brother is now enjoying our Mother for eternity. In the arms of a loving Saviour, my Mother and my little Brother are together, at peace, and at home.
